THERMOGRAVIMETRIC MASS SPECTROMETRY (TG-NS)

TG is a simultaneous thermal analyzer that can find out about a sample’s different thermal properties all at once. The TG part measures the temperatures where decomposition, reduction, or oxidation happens. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) is an analytical method that measures how a sample’s weight changes as it is heated at a constant rate to find out how stable it is at high temperatures and how much of it is made up of volatile components.

Types:

There are three kinds of Thermo gravimetric analyzers: ones with a suspension system, ones that load from the top, and ones that load from the side.

Principle:

It is mostly used to measure the thermal stability of a material, the amount of filler in polymers, the amount of moisture and solvent, and the percentage of components in a compound. TGA is mostly used to find out how stable material is at different temperatures and what it is made of. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) is an analytical method that measures how a sample’s weight changes as it is heated at a constant rate to find out how stable it is at high temperatures and how much of it is made up of volatile components.

Advantages:

Your temperature profile, atmosphere, sample, and other things are the same for both sets of data. This gets rid of the uncertainty caused by differences in sample preparation, sampling, instruments, furnace materials, etc.
