The Hot Disk is a simple thermal conductivity meter that still gives accurate and repeatable measurements. It is easy to test solids, powders, and pastes with a thermal conductivity between 0.03 and 40 W/m/K. Hot Disk develops tools for measuring how heat moves through almost any material. The unique Hot Disk technology lets you test for thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat capacity quickly and easily. With these tools, you can measure a wide range of solids, liquids, and powders at many different temperatures and shapes.

Many different models of Hot Disk instruments can test and measure Thermal Conductivity, Thermal Diffusivity, Thermal Effusively, and Specific Heat Capacity. Our top-of-the-line instruments are the only ones that can monitor ultra-short transient temperature readings. This means that they can handle samples that are less than a millimeter thick and materials that conduct heat very well, up to 1800 W/m/K.
